Urgent Care

A good option for non-emergent medical issues, including minor injuries and common illnesses. We see patients on a walk-in basis, no appointment necessary.

Lab Services

A LabCorp phlebotomist is available 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. (Closed 12PM to 1PM for lunch.) Please contact our front office to schedule.

Endoscopy + Colonoscopy

Dr. Shaeffer has screened for, diagnosed and treated more cases of colon cancer than anyone in Archuleta County. We schedule patients on a referral basis.

We’re conveniently located off of US-160/San Juan Street in Pagosa Springs, CO 81147 between the TBK bank and Roadhouse restaurant. To access our main entrance, please park in the large parking lot, closest to the highway. Look for the large, red “URGENT CARE” sign posted above double-doors. This is where you’ll check in. Our lab entrance is located on the backside of the building, closest to the restaurant, with limited parking reserved for patients with scheduled appointments. There will be signs to help direct you.

You will receive an e-statement via email and a text confirmation. Please verify and update your email address. If you prefer to opt-out of e-statements, please let our front desk or billing team know and provide your current mailing address. 

First, please confirm that your bill is from “Pagosa Medical Group, LLC.” 

You may pay with a check, cash, or major credit card.

You can pay your bill online (quick tip: you must include “PS-” followed by your unique 6-digit statement number). You can pay your bill over the phone, by calling (970)259-8681 or (970)372-0456. You can pay your bill by mail or pay your bill in person

If you have any questions or concerns about a statement you received from our office, please contact our dedicated billing team at (970)259-8681 for further assistance. If you have questions or concerns about a bill from LabCorp, please call billing customer service at 800-845-6167.

Prior to your appointment, please verify and update your insurance information. It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company for details regarding coverage. You may need to notify your insurance or request prior approval before you receive treatment at our urgent care clinic. Co-payments are due at the time of your visit. You may owe a co-insurance or deductible amount after your claim has been processed. This is a part of your contract with your insurance company.

We offer affordable cash-pay options for patients who are either uninsured, have high-deductible plans or have health-sharing plans like Medishare.

Care is not based on your ability to pay.
